A blue whale takes a dive off the Palos Verde Peninsula in Southern California on July 28, 2010. The blue whale is the largest animal ever to live on Earth. The Aquarium of the Pacific is debuting it’s new whale-listening device on its daily boat excursions to go with its Whales: Voices in the Sea exhibit. A new whale-listening device onboard allowing the public to listen to the blue whales and dolphins as they see them. This exhibit update has been made possible by the Pacific Life Foundation, the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, and the NOAA Fisheries Service and was developed by the Scripps Institution of Oceanography with the Aquarium of the Pacific.
